The ORIE is within a short walk to Braddell MRT. It’s jointly developed by three very well-established developers. They are City Developments Limited (CDL), Frasers Property, and Sekisui House.

City Developments Limited (CDL) is a major real estate developer from Singapore. It has a long history and a strong presence around the world. Founded in 1963, CDL has grown to be one of the biggest property developers in Singapore. It works in 29 countries and manages more than 163 places globally.

History and Development

  • Founding: CDL started in a small office with only eight employees. It quickly grew by finishing its first project, Fresh Breezes, in Johor Bahru in 1965. The next year, in 1966, they launched City Towers, which was Singapore’s first high-rise residential project.
  • Acquisition by Hong Leong Group: In 1969, the Hong Leong Group bought a major part of CDL. This helped them branch out into different types of properties, like shopping malls and mixed-use developments.
  • New Ideas: CDL was one of the first to use the “show flat” idea for selling properties. They also lead the way in eco-friendly building practices and have won several awards for their green buildings.

Frasers Property is a global real estate and property management group based in Singapore. It has a strong presence in Asia, Australia, Europe, and the UK. The company focuses on developing, owning, and managing a wide variety of properties. These include homes, offices, hotels, shops, and industrial sites.

  • Foundation: The company started as Frasers Centrepoint Limited in 2000. This happened when Centrepoint Properties and Frasers Property Holdings joined together. In 2018, it changed its name to Frasers Property to create a strong global identity.
  • Ownership: It belongs to the Thai group TCC Group, which is owned by billionaire Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi.

  • Frasers Property works through several important business areas: Frasers Property Singapore: This area works on homes, shopping malls, and business properties. It is known as a top owner of shopping malls in Singapore.
  • Frasers Property Australia: This unit looks after different homes and business properties all over Australia.

Sekisui House, Ltd. is a top Japanese company. It focuses on designing, building, and managing homes. The company started on August 1, 1960, and it is based in Osaka, Japan. Sekisui House is known for its quality and new ideas in housing.
